Dream Workshop ~ Level A
(Anthology Publication)

Duration:
15 three-hour classes taught on a weekly basis (Fall Term)

Goal:
Each student produces work to be included in a professionally published class anthology

In this workshop for ages 8-13, students work with a mentor to craft their own short stories, poems, and other examples of creative writing. This is a great class for students looking to improve their writing skills and to participate in a wide-range of inspirational activities that nurture creativity. Each week students produce written assignments that are corrected and edited by the mentor. These stories are then included in a class anthology that is professionally desktop published. Students read 12-15 books selected by the mentor to help improve reading and writing capabilities.

Students can, and often do, repeat this workshop many times, but with a different mentor.
